I have accumulated some old style Oriental Seagull and what I could find of Galerie grade 4 (not much). So far I have let them sit on a shelf but am wondering if there is any harm to freezing them in a chest freezer.

Would there be any risk of condensation and damage to the paper in the freeze-thaw process? I do of course freeze most of my film but even there usually not after opening the box or packet.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Hany.

Hi Hany,

You can freeze paper as long as you put it in an airtight plastic bag and let it warm up to room temperature before opening it.I usually take the paper out of the freezer the night before I want to use it just to be safe.

Hope this helps,

Rob.
