Folks are selling FE2 around $200+ so if it comes with 6 months warranty that's tempting.
It shows that market is growing

I'd say eBay's a bit better than online dating, you usually at least get a response.

Freestyle has always been cutting edge when it comes to film photography marketing, this new venture is no exception.
That we have no new serious film cameras on the market is testament to Freestyles ,good, decision.

I was in the retail store last week. They had a display case full of various film cameras for sale from Catlabs.

More shops selling film cameras with warranties is a good thing. Buying on eBay is fine if you take the time to find trusted sellers with good reputations. Some of them offer warranties as well. And eBay has a return policy that is very biased in favor of buyers. They do take a big cut of the sale, though. Which translates into a higher price for the customer. I much prefer eBay as a place to buy rather than sell. When I started using eBay in 2004, fees were much lower. They also didn't collect tax. Internet was young, there was no way that would last.

I'm not a big fan of Catlabs' business practices and I'd avoid them unless they were my only option.

What are your concerns with Catlabs' business practices.

Here we go again with people bragging about their bargain deal and thinking nevertheless that it is the norm... Does it bring anything new to the topic? The answer is in the question...

Sorry if I sounded like I was trying to brag... I was just surprised that nikon fe was worth that much in other countries. It's a very "avoided" camera here as its a budget electronic model that is notorious for breaking down and becoming a brick. I just did some research and I found out that cameras tend to be cheaper in my home country. I don't know why though.. maybe the film camera market here is just bigger than some other countries :/

Most probably the reason is the demand for film cameras in Hungary is lower compared to countries with a strong film revival like the US, the UK or Germany.
