So I click on the freestyle link and went to glance at the new stuff this week. What do I see but a 240mm G-claron. What's up with that? Any chance the G-clarons are making a come back? Say the longer focal lengths? Or is this NOS?

This is likely NOS. I was interested in a 270mm G-Claron around five months ago, visited www.schneideroptics.com to check out the data sheet and discovered a page that showed three focal lengths (240, 270 and 305) along with list prices. They wouldn't sell direct; I had to purchase through a "white market" US dealer. Ended up buying a 270 from Midwest. It was manufactured in 1999; eight year old German air came out of the sealed poly bag when I cut it open.

Freestyle probably obtained some of the limited remaining stock. Scheider's site still displays all three focal lengths at the time of this posting.
