Free- a Canon AL-L camera, no lens, no body cap. You pay shipping from 47150.
This is a camera from an estate. It has a broken battery door that this camera is famous for, but I rigged it with a piece of conductive shim stock and a small piece of thin Bakelite and a screw to hold the battery door shut...so the camera actually seems to work. But I have no use for it, and thought one of you might want it for parts or to play with.
Long story- I had bought a battery door off eBay from seller sd-fix-it for $15. When it arrived I found that it was defective from the factory- the channel in the door that the hinge was supposed to fit through was too small an opening. I requested a replacement and the seller said he would send it... but after two weeks I inquired why it hadn't arrived, and he said that it was in the mail. No, according to the USPS tracking number he had (evidently) paid for the postage online but had never actually put it in the mail (never arrived at a USPS station). After waiting another two weeks I finally gave up and requested eBay to step in and force a refund (after my sending the defective one back). All and all, and very time-consuming and frustrating experience. So I warn you from dealing with that seller.
Anyway, so I made a homebrew (maybe temporary!) fix for the battery door, but have no decent lenses for it and I don't shot 35mm anymore anyway... so, let me know if you want it for the cost of shipping.
