Freckles

Nice. I only wish that it was in color.

Back in history someone, who I can’t recall his name at the moment, did a portfolio/book on red-heads that featured a lot of freckles too. It was nice work... like yours.

Sounds like I need to find this person and view their portfolio.

Very Nice Indeed! Not sure if it would look as nice in colour.

Your b&w image is striking but I wouldn't mind seeing her in color as well. Softly glowing as with Portra or super-saturated as Ektar or a happy medium in between.
There are so many ways to shoot both b&w and color, no? How about a color Kodalith?

I will give portra and ektar a try next. I'll have to make sure to inform the lab to make the freckles pop. I could also pay extra for the tiff files and do it myself.

I also have some Kodak Portra NC 160. This model has pale skin, maybe I can make her freckles stand still?

I did not even realize how freckeled Calder was until this photograph. Taken with x-ray film...no filter (ortho film)

Thanks...since I have triplets, there are two more similar images -- Calder was the only one with freckles -- the other two had scratches and dirty faces, though (I called them over from the sandbox, one at a time). They were photographed in open shade, and since the x-film was blue-sensitive, very fast (about ASA 400 or 800). Speed dropped significantly under the redwoods!

Beautiful portrait, I love redheads and more so the ones with freckles.
