Recently acquired a 5X7 camera. The folks on the LF site suggest I post here to see if anyone had an explanation.

My first box of FP$ I bought from B&H two weeks ago had the following contents:

22 sheets FP4
2 sheets of what seems to be Fomapan 200 (based on old weblink saying it is Fomapan-one triangle notch)
1 sheet without notch

Anyone have any idea?

That seems very screwed up. Was the box sealed with factory seal? I'd just call the USA Ilford rep.

If it were me I'd just have B&H send me another one. They're pretty good to deal with. If you paid for 25 sheets of FP4 you should get 25 sheets of FP4.

Sounds to me like they just screwed up their notching for 3 of the sheets. maybe they had a malfunction with the notching machine, and it just screwed up a little bit. I'm sure it's fine, and i'd highly doubt it would be mixed film if you bought it new. Unless it was already opened. Was it in a sealed baggie (or does fp4 come in foil, i can't remember)? and it was in a sealed box? I'd just use it, i'd be very surprised to hear if it were anything but fp4...
Btw- if you haven't used it before, fp4 is a very beautiful film. It looks great, especially with a big negative. fp4 is one of my favorite films. I prefer it to any other medium speed film for most stuff.
