I just shot some FP100C that was sitting in the camera through high and low temps for 5 years. I was expecting garbage when I pulled it apart, but it looked practically normal. Whoo-hoo.

I just hope they don't discontinue that.

The film keeps really well honestly. All the Fuji instant stuff keeps far better than Polaroid. For whatever reason they are getting a much better seal on their pods. Also, the color shifts are much less. I shot 9 year old Instax film and every shot covered completely. There was a slight color shift but nothing like the orange cast and lack of contrast that ruined Polaroid 600 shots.

Remember that the ISO 3200 is actually an ISO ~1000 formulation with a reflective back layer to add to the sensitivity. So it isn't nearly as sensitive to age as real ISO 3200 film.

I've shot some very expired 100C and only had two packs that had issues, general red cast in the center of the image throughout the pack.

Never have I seen any issues with 3000B.

I had no idea. This needs a bump (see the petition in the OP).

I'm sure it because people are stocking up, but it's an enocuraging sign nonetheless: The five pack of this is currently the top selling item in the Darkroom category at Amazon.

I was going to buy in, because I love the look, but then realized it's "fun" for me, but only the 100 speed is functional for testing shots, wish the 100B was still available.

Alas...

It is certainly the most instant of the remaining 'instant' films and there's nothing else like it. Indoors, 3000B makes the old folding Polaroid Land cameras very useful for available light candid shots where the color film is too slow without flash. Outdoors 3000B is almost too fast and bright sunlight leaks in around the edges while the film is developing, leaving a fuzzy white fringe around the print. I will definitely miss this stuff and am buying as much as I can afford to keep refrigerated.

There's already a thread about this they was posted a month or so ago FYI...

Prices seem to have jumped along with the announcement of the discontinuation.

Unique Photo still has it in stock for $12.95. A week or so ago they were offering free shipping and 5% off so I scored five packs for just over $60. (By comparison, Amazon's best price on the five pack is $95 at the moment -- but it is through a third party).

Yeah, that's about the going price. I just paid $13 or so from B&H. It was less than $10 before the discontinuation was announced. With the holidays too I can't really afford to stock up, not as I continue to stock up as I can on another expensive discontinued film that it's much more important to me to have a stock of for as long as possible, Provia 400X. (Ironically, another Fuji product.)

Yeah, Fujifilm is a on a roll this year........

I am hoping that this isn't a sign of things to come for the FP-100C

It would be interesting to know what the sales figures are on these pack films. Is it possible that they discontinued another film that was used for the negative part of the FP-3000B, in turn leading to the discontinuance of this film? Or perhaps some of the raw materials are no longer available/outlawed?

Fuji is pretty open about their reasoning, like when Neopan400 went out for a while they explained it was material cost & and restricted chems, and when it went out the second time it was because sales were low (the specifics are from my recollection) point is they often say why, and they said flat out it was sales figures.

I picked up a pack off a 3rd party seller but fulfilled through amazon for $20.95 along with some fp100c to get free shipping at $35. It'll be my first time shooting it as I only just got a holder for it. Sigh.
