Hard to find much around here. I thought I would check out a small independent pharmacy, and they had some Kodak Gold 200 3 packs for 1 dollar, it was expired, but I use it for general pictures and it looks great. I also noticed they had some Konica film on the shelf. So I will check back from time to time to see if they get rid of it. Our CVS (ex-OSCO Drug) stores hardly carry any film. Our walgreens are stocked well with Kodak T-Max color film, C41 BW, and Walgreens color. I haven't checked HY-VEE though. Our Jewel stores carry fuji and Kodak, but all general purpose film.

Any one else from the Quad Cities on here? Or close by?

Went back to Wegman's yesterday to pick up something for dinner (really good grocery store, really really good. To those who think I am nuts for saying this, you haven't ben in one!) and I noticed, not 1 row of Tri-X in the display, but 2 now. I wonder if there is a trend? :D

Brent: So the Tri-X was at Wegmans? Damn... as I said earlier, I don't shop there. Sacriligeous in Rochester, I know, but they pi$$ed me off real good one day (well, over a period of time, it just culminated with one specific incident), and I won't go back. Guess I'll stick with on-line purchases or the local shops when I need it right away.

Huh - Tri-X won't draw you in, sounds like they screwed up pretty bad. I know it is always crowded.

Just saw Elite Chrome Slide film there today. Never saw it there - justthe color print film, and 400CN. Now Tri-X, and Elite Chrome. I wonder if we'll see Plus-X and Kodachrome 25 or something...?

Earl,

There are a couple of solutions you could try.

1) If the "dispute" is strictly personal - ask a family member or friend to pick it up for you.

2) Get one of those "disguises" with the horned-rimmed glasses, big nose and mustache and "sneak in".

:D

Maybe, somebody at Wegman's with purchasing influence reads APUG...

Would be cool:

If so:

1. Kodak Plus-X
2. Kodak Portra 160NC and VC
3. Kodak Portra 400NC and VC
3. How about a row of some 120 B&W? - you pick! (TMAX? TRI-X?)

(Best not to ask about brand "F" and brand "I" as this is a Kodak town)

A couple of years ago Wegmans was selling Portra around the holidays. But saw it just that once. Most likely too expensive for most people, especially when it was right next to the 4-packs of other Kodak products.

George: My wife shops at Wegmans more than weekly, so yeah, that would work. :D They DO stock Balderson cheddar, but still haven't gotten the lait cru cheeses from Quebec. Now that would be another reason to drop my snit!

I was at a very large CVA pharmacy today, and they had Kodak regular film offerings, but also ELITE CHROME, Tri-X 400TX, 400 HD, and 400 UC. So I am in heaven to say the least. Also they had a Noritsu D-11, how is that for a processor?

Mr. Nash- what is a Noritsu D-11 processor? Sounds like a special B&W unit to me.

Thats what I was wondering. Now that D-11 designation is from memory. They had 3 different machines though, all noritsu brand. But I do know they send out B/W and slide film, according to the lady who has been there awhile. I will go back soon and report the correct nomenclature.
