Found a Bulk Roll of Technical Pan at University's Surplus!

I was at my local university's surplus store today looking though their darkroom supplies. They had around 10 bulk film loaders for sale for $10.00 each (Watson brand). Most were still loaded with what felt like near full rolls of film. I picked one up that was loaded with a near full roll of Kodak Technical Pan!

I loaded a short roll and will shoot it and develop it tomorrow.

I think I am going to use Rodinal at 150:1 at 7 minutes just to see how it exposes.

I was tempted to buy the bulk loader with a full roll of Ektachrome in it, but I'm not sure how old it is and I think B&W is more forgiving.

Nice score! I hope it turns out great! If you are interested in paying shipping, I can send you a packet of Technidol. I have a few boxes of the stuff but no Tech Pan. The prices on that auction market are stupid. If you wanted more, I'd give you a very good deal. However, I think Tech Pan looks great in Rodinal.

Sweet! I got my hands on three 36-exposure rolls of old Tech Pan, I've been exposing it at ASA-16 and developing in Rodinal, 1+100 for 4:30 at 68F with good results.

Well, I shot a short roll today. Looks like the Tech Pan still works fine!

I developed it on Rodinal at 150:1 for 7 minutes, agitating the first minute then 5 inversions each other minute. I don't yet have any negative testing equipment, so I don't know the contrast of the negatives, but they look great. This is also the flattest drying film I've seen yet.

Looks like I have some new film to use with my landscapes!

I like the second photo especially. What Exposure Index did you use for the film?

I shot it at 25 ASA. Seems to work fine there.

Now I need to load up a few rolls and get into the mountains!
