It's a shame. I use them and find them to be an excellent camera. I would highly recommend that anyone thinking about it should act now while there is some inventory, lest they end up kicking themselves later.

Hello everyone, thank you all for your postings and kind comments. I'll have more thoughts to share in the days ahead, but so as everyone is aware... we're not under the stone just yet! We still have brand new cameras available (all except 8x10), all in need of good homes.

Arca-Swiss just announced the sale of their new wide-angle cone-focussing high-end camera. So, there still seems a market...

Cried into my beer when I saw this thread... been waiting for the US dollar/UK pound exchange rate to improve before going for a 6x9, (Ha Ha, probably a very long wait).

Regarding the above post, would anyone have any details on the Arca Swiss product? I find information on their products frustratingly difficult to track down.

Even worse: Horseman ceased the production as well. They had some nice panorama cameras, but the point of concern is their roll film backs. Now all camera manufacturers who relied on their roll film backs will be in trouble: Arca Swiss, Ebony (all 6x9 and 4x5 as well as 6x12 and 6x17 models).

I think most MF photographers don't yet realize what this means to MF and LF photography...

JDP, here is some information about the new Arca (in German):

Thank you for this. I for one wish you the best as things unfold.
