I was just given a couple of opened 25-sheet packs of Forte Polywarmtone FB paper (one is Elegance PWT Art with an ivory finish, the other PWT with a glossy finish). To maximize their use in printing negatives I need to know the ISO speed of these papers. If you know what those speeds are, or have a reference to where I can find them, please let me know.

If such data are not available, I'll need to determine the speeds myself; probably with cut sheets to conserve paper.

TIA,

Rich

You can take the values from the ADOX Polywarmtone, it is the same paper.
However, I'm under the impression, that these values are not very correct. Polywamtone is roughly 4 times (2 stops) slower compared to Ilford MG IV or Agfa MCP.

Thank you Andreas and Jan.

When I searched the Web with Google for the paper speed the Forte website did not show up. Since I have a color head on my Beseler enlarger, I can convert the Durst values.

Much appreciated,

Rich

If the packages are sealed, there should be a datasheet. If not, I could send you a scan if you want. Let me know.

SNIP.... Forte Polywarmtone FB paper (one is Elegance PWT Art with an ivory finish, the other PWT with a glossy finish). end snip
TIA,

Rich

I have the poop sheet from a box of Polygrade V Elegance Fiber Based Paper that says the papers ISO speed is 400 without filtration.

the polywarmtone is 160 if i remember correctly. the paper Bruce is talking about is not the same paper.

Thank you. That would be handy to have. I'll give you my email address in a private message so it's not too available for spammers.

Ann,

That's in line with the first two replies. Thank you very much.

It's useful when you're switching from other papers and looking get an equivalent exposure. For me, all of my contacts are on Ilford, but I may or may not choose Ilford for a printing session.
Here is the data sheet. If you have problems reading it, pm me with an email, and I can send a better version.
