I have a contact at a US distributer of Forte Paper. They have told me they have a carton waiting in customs for clearance.

It should be shipping by next week.

I dont know how much, but it's a start.

Yeeeeeeee Haaaa!

I think you'll find that there's already fresh Forte paper in the US, stocked by a sponsor of this Forum, J & C.

My own batch arrived from Fotoimpex in Berlin about 3 weeks ago.

For Forte see also Bergger and Fotoimpex (Classic) papers they are all the same emulsions.

Please tell us which Forte papers are the same as the other two you mention. I print on both Forte & Bergger & the papers I use aren't anywhere near the same.

Which of the other two are Forte Polygrade V? Let me know so I can get that paper.

I have heard this before, but as someone else said, which ones? I have used Forte PolyV, and Bergger Prestige, both fiber and both VC. In a test with the same negative, all the way through selenium toning, they are similar, but could not be the same emulsion.

Bergger is coated by Forte, but the emulsions are different. Forte coats Bergger paper with the Bergger emulsions, which are in most cases the former Guilleminot recipes (but made by Forte).

I use Bergger and Forte, but haven't used any of the Fotoimpex (rebranded) papers yet.

Ole, I assume it is something similar with film as well. I've read where there is no actual Bergger factory.

When I ran out of Fortenza grade 2 yesterday and discovered that B&H has it backordered, I went ahead and ordered some J&C Classic FB to try. I hope I like it as well.
