Hello Everyone,

I just bought some Forte Polywarmtone Paper for doing lith on but when I just received the paper today it has the words NEW on the label. Is this paper still going to work or should I return it? What has changed with this paper?

Is this still the same? What has changed? Anyone know?

Thanks,

Kev

It says PW-14 NEW on the label and I have no idea what the NEW means.

I am using the Glossy Warm tone paper.

The polywarmtone Plus FB is the name of the paper and the PW-14 means that is a museum quality 280g/m2 and comes with a glossy surface.
I couldn’t find any “New” here Dead Link Removed but down in the bottom you will find “E-mail” Send them a letter and ask. Or you can use this one to. attila.olle@fortefoto.hu

Another option that you ask your dealer if he knows something about it but I dont see any reasons why it shouldn't work.

I hope this would help you a bit.

I just noticed my Forte PW-14 also has the NEW label...

/matti

More reason to write to them. I'm using a roll from Forte and it doesn't say new but again I brought a 1000mm x 20 m a while ago so then it wasn't new only fresh.

It is said they have slighty changed the emulsion, but I do not know any specific details.

the "New" markings on Polywarmtone

I have questioned Forte about Polywarmtone and that “New” marking on it and here is their answer!

The difference between Polywarmtone NEW and the old paper /without additional
"new" label/ is that

1/The max. sensibility is falling on shorter wave length, accordingly
the paper sensibility can be used with better results when using cold light
lamp /in the enlarging head/.

2/To avoid the so called "double shoulder" /of the characteristics
curve/ certain components of the emulsion have been replaced with new ones.

We do hope having replied your question for your satisfaction.

Best regards,
