developing times with hypercat and delta 100
My usual method with 1:1:100 dilution of hypercat with Delta 100 135 is 6.5 min.
at 70 F , 30 sec. gentle inversions to start then 2 gentle inversions per minute.
With a 1:1:300 dilution I use 25 min. with 30 sec. gentle initial agitation followed by 2 inversions every 10 minutes.
Either method results in extremely sharp, exceeding fine grained negatives that have no to minimal fog with excellent tonal scale.
Have yet to use it with 120.
With a bright sharp shadowed day I have used delta 100 at 64 i.e. for 19 minutes with the 1:1: 300 dilution with 30 sec. initial agitation and 1 gentle inversion per 3 minutes. 70 F.
I believe that HP4+ would also work well at these times. I often wonder how such fine grain and acuity are together. All the vitues and none of the vices.
