However, I was also making a point that after I had clarified that the 60% Ammonium Thiosulphate solution is w/v (weight by volume), I also suggested that the misleading response was inaccurate, and "grossly over thinking the issue". A very quick Google search would have been enough to make this totally clear to the poster.
It's 60% by weight, so 600g per litre.
In photography, at a practical level, we never work in Molarity, so a Percentage solution is always weight by volume. Sure in Biology, Biochemistry etc Molarity is important, and I have reagents in Molar concentrations. I studied Biological Sciences at University.
But for non-scientists, which is most photographers, and factory workers mixing chemistry Molarity is way beyond their comprehension, and that is the reality, so sorry Ben, I meant you were over thinking.
