Does anyone here know where I can find the formula for AFO - Sol 1 and Lithium Palladium Sol. No. 3? Looked on the Bostick and Sullivan site, but did not find the breakdown. Thinking about mixing my own from scratch and wanted to see what was needed, to see if it was any cheaper.

Thanks,

Also if you do mix it yourself which is what I did...use a whole number for the PD and do the math to figure out how much of everything else...this way you aren't trying to weigh out 2.3g or 4.6 or what ever of PD. I used 5 g of PD and it was much easier. I just found it difficult to weigh out gold once and decided to always use whole numbers with the metal salts.

Happy days

Thank you, Mark..that is what I needed. Will check B&S site as well. One question do you find you need to let the solutions age any prior to using them?

Thanks again.

Do you have the Sullivan book? They list it in the appendix there.

No I do not Diane, but sounds like I need to pick it up. Thanks for the info..that would be the Sullivan and Weese book - right?

Yes, Mike. The New Platinum Print by Richard Sullivan and Carl Weese.

I'm not sure about needing to age the PD solution...I've never heard anything regarding it, but I haven't read the book yet either.

The FAO solutions seem to have a shelf life though, and may be best when they're on the fresher side, all in all my favorite process of all I've tried.

happy days
