Look for "Mytol" and "E-76" in Anchell's "The Darkoom Cookbook". Both of these are homebrew versions of X-Tol and both work quite well.

actually, It's in thesame author's Film Development Cookbook, which, for many reasons, is a valuable book to have for any serious darkroom worker.
