I am unsure if this is the correct sub forum for this post but I love this collection of Getty images, ESPECIALLY the analog photographs.
Thanks for posting. I love those early F1 photographs as well. I'm surprised they didn't include any photos by Jesse Alexander, one of the most famous of motorsports photographers.
Are you for certain none of his were in this set?
I may be wrong, but I didn't see him credited anywhere in the article.
Thanks for this.
Love the photo of the dude with the TLR.

). Security was clearly pretty lax in those days. He must have been standing no more than three feet away from the car when he took the shot. Oddly and unexpectedly, I somehow fell into a project beginning in 2019 documenting vintage racing at Laguna Seca Raceway and find myself taking pictures of similar cars in similar settings. Luckily, the paddock at Laguna Seca is open to the public so access is very good. Still, I'd love to be able to stand just feet away from the drivers/cars at an F1 race and take photos of the action up-close.Those were the days, when you could stand two feet away from the cars/drivers and shoot photos.
