thank you everyone for posting images and continuing the discussion......the thing is with images on social media and websites is you can't really see how it looks at full page size and in print at 300dpi which is my world......

For these purposes I process my film at home with C-41 (either Rollei or Tetanal depending on what they have in stock around here) and then put my negatives through a high-end scanner I am fortunate enough to own.....a Hasselblad Flextight 646 using the Flexcolor app. I have to keep a Mac running Mojave as they will not update the app....and this my friends is where you see whats what.....Horses for courses at the end of the day......if you're just going to post on Instagram then everything looks like anything at those sizes within reason

here's Portra 800 shot with less 'punch'......I think its a fantastic film to use in the studio for portraits as with the 800 speed you don't have to blind people with the power you have to push through the flash heads were it the supposed go-to Portra 160....we all know that sound: the blown bulb sound hahah......I shoot with a Hasselblad and I'm screwed for focus under f8 - I shoot at f11 normally.....I had window light fill the room in a bit but had a rectangular softbox camera left out of the frame filling in a bit of light.......so easy to make the shot look like a flash shot otherwise.....
