For SALE: 3 Reducing backs for 8x10 B&J, Grover, Rembrandt. Price reduced again
I am listing 3 reducing backs that will fit the 8x10 Rembrandt Studio camera, 8x10 B&J field camera, and the 8x10 Grover monorail. All three cameras were made by Burke & James of Chicago, Ill.. Basically they are variations of the 8x10 B&J Field camera, the Rembrandt having a fixed front standard and the Grover mounted on a monorail. The only thing that hasn't changed is the battleship gray paint.
I have indicated the prices, in US, next to the respective back.
Shipping is extra, from Canada. Payment to be made through Paypal. 2% goes to APUG. 10% off the price if you buy more than one item.
8x10>5x7 sliding back that splits into two 3½"x5 images, $40
8x10>4x5 sliding back that splits into two 2½"x4" images, $30
8x10>2¼"x3¼", $30

The dimensions of the boards and the placement of the retaining pins is as follows:
The outer dimensions of the reducing backs is 11½" sq (293mm) ; distance between the pins, 260mm; from pin center to pin center, 263mm.
It is quite possible that these boards will fit other 8x10 cameras made by other companies. Or, If you're into building you own pinhole cameras, then these backs will serve as very study anchors for the rest of the body, which can be made out of foam core. Ground glass backs for sheet film holders are usually the the most difficult to make in a DIY camera project.
Just a reminder that these boards were made by Burke & James for their 8x10 cameras, the 8x10 Rembrandt Studio, 8x10 B&J field, and 8x10 Grover monorail.
If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you.
