fomapan200-pyro-hd-minimal agitation?

i've done some research but couldnt find much on the subject.
i like the method of sandyking's minimal agitation. especially with acros it gives beautiful tonality in my opinion.

shot my first roll of fomapan200 @125 today.
in rather contrasty light.
have you been using this development method for this film/dev combo?

I've been using this developer and method for 15 years. Hard to beat. I have some 4x5 fomapan... and I think some 8x10, in the freezer, but never used it. I've just got too much other film!

so you havent used it with the fomapan if i understand you well?

meanwhile i have the first roll to hang dry.
11 minutes was just a bit too much, not sure yet.
10 should have been good i guess.
(i did 1min in the beginning and then 3 inversions 3 times to make the 11 min)

to whom it may concern..
looking at the negatives in bright daylight , i have to say that my prejudgement of yesterday was wrong.
11 min with minimal agitation has worked out very well.
i use a condender enlarger and am happy to not have too punchy highlight density. the tonal range is beautiful.
for a diffusor it might even be necessary to increase vigorous agitation to build some more contrast.

update:

a thorough inspection and a few rolls later i do realize that for normal development my time of development is 13minutes.
pyrocat-hd 1:1:100 20°C
50" vigorous agitation
and 4 inversions at the quarter marks. (3/6/9)

result is beautiful! great separation in the highlights, rich tones.

N-2 f.example turns out to be around 8 1/2 minutes.

I wish more members here would do what you did..which is answer your own question by DOING ..seems so old fashioned but it worked right??

thank you. it sure worked. but why oldfashioned?
isn't it all about experience when learning new skills?
especially in the whole exposure/development workflow. so many individual factors.
still, some numbers can help to get an idea where to start.. and its sometimes interesting to see how others do and what they have found.
