Does anyone have information on the Fomapan film industry? I know Europe is having problems because of a war and that's got to interfere with shipping and anything else really but I have been stocking up on what I can get but I do see an end to my meager supplies and all the big retailers here in North America are having real order problems. Don't want to change to the Russian crap film but is there a light at the end of this tunnel.?

Foma Bohemia is fine, their film is available and in stock at all major worldwide retailers.
 
There is no problem at all with European shipping.
Only some problems with Ukraine and Russia.
You can get Fomapan easily on ebay
 
There's a world shortage of shipping containers, plus the knock on effects of staff off with Covid, causing transport issues in many industries. Along with high energy prices driving up shipping costs.

This causes delays, in addition importers/exporters will wait and consolidate into large shipments to help mitigate the very substantial increase in transport costs.

Well.
When i order from USA i have the bid delay of 20-25 days and real expencive shipping cost.
The delay can be even 25 days because of unacceptable work progress of Greek custom office!
I do not know how the situation is at USA as it has to do with delays.
You can get Fomapan 9x12 from Europe with about 10 euro shipping cost and the total amount for ,Îąs about 60 euro
 
Any way i do not know at what price Milha can buy at USA because even 60 euro is expencive for me for a box of 50
Maybe a delal with an ebay dealer for big order is possible.
Any way viruses and wars are a good tricks.....we just pay the gasoline 2.30 euro per litre for nothing....

Europe is not "at war". Russia is at war with Ukraine.

Packages are actually still being sent and delivered from Ukraine to other European countries. The rest of Europe isn't really affected by any of this in everyday terms. There appears to be no issues with supply of Fomapan films, at least nothing over and above the general issues affecting all shipping....plague and whatnot.

Check out their website if they are open. Fomapan film on eBay is never a wise decision if you care about quality.
 
Sorry but there is another thread that has been started about this problem with Fomapan and delivery problems from Europe to North America. Just getting use to the new Photrio site. Looks very good too just a few things I need to learn about posting here.

What kind of delivery problems? The thread you mentioned was about something else.
Have you checked Freestyle, B&H, Adorama....? Everything Foma is in stock.

There's delivery issues in all directions, that includes from the US to Europe, US to Asia, etc, as well. It's something we'll have to live with until the backlog at ports & customs is cleared.

Foma hasn't gone anywhere, they quickly indicated their Internet host company had an issue, their site was back up and running when you posted.

Can't be any problems at the Foma Bohemia factory, I just received a communication from one supplier that I occasionally buy film from to the effect that they are celebrating 100 years of making photographic products by introducing limited edition "retro" packaging and labels for their 135 Fomapan products.

There are, as others state, general worldwide issues with supply chains, shipping, transport. Pesky plague.
 
I often buy film off eBay, Foma included. No issues, you just want to ck the feedback on people. Many of the sellers there are actually in the photo supply business w/ brick and mortar stores. Papers are another matter, I'll only buy those from Freestyle or their competition.

Currently packages from Russia are going from Russia to Poland or other country by ground (train or truck) and then they are been shipped overseas or wherever it is going. Other countries experience some delays because custom inspection has i ncreased. That would depend on the country and luck I guess.
 
Also having no problem gettnig Foma/Arista. Arista EDU 400 on 120 is one of my stock for daily/non critical photography.

Foma is in the Czech Republic.

I've heard from a camera seller on Russia that the impact would be that shipping by air is blocked from/to Russia. Can someone from Europe could confirm this?

Russia is not part of Europe. It is a country with heavy sanctions so for sure shipping/travelling from there should be difficult because of these sanctions.
 
Dear friends.
Only Russia and Ukraine have shipping -transpostation problems.
No other country!
And of course Russia is not European country.
Ukraine belongs to Europen continent , but not to the European community (E.U)
