Can someone share some info on this film?
1)compare to fomapan 100 ?
2)should it be pulled? and how?
Thanks..
Fomapan T200 is a superb film, almostly exactly comparable in speed to Ilford FP4 Plus. i.e. the '200' is ONLY in speed increasing developers and is rounded up at that: the true ISO is more like 180 in DD-X/Microphen, a good 125 in D76/ID-11, maybe 80 in Perceptol. It is grainier than FP4 Plus but tonally excellent -- far superior in the latter respect to Fomapan 100,
at least for the subjects I shoot, though I have seen excellent portraits on Fomapan 100. Despite the name, it is not a tabular grain film.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'pulled'. If you mean 'deliberately over-exposed', the above should answer your question. If you mean 'deliberately under-developed', my own experience is that most manufacturers' development times for it are pretty good. The emulsion is loaded with development accelerators so dev times can be VERY short -- consider more dilute development.
Go to www.rogerandfrances.com>galleries>UK, where there are 9 shots taken with this film of the Barge Museum at Faversham.
