Hi,

I could not find the development times for Fomapan 100 @100 4x5 in Xtol (1+1). Could anyone here help me out? I have a few other developers here; HC-110, APH09 and Rodinal. Rodinal and HC-110 are listed, but no Xtol and I like Xtol

Any recommendations for Fomapan in Xtol? I use a scanner, not enlarging this one.

Thanks.

I do it in 1+50 Rodinal for 7 minutes.

I think you can also do it in 1+25 for half the time if time is a big issue.

Xstol stock is 5 to 6 minutes

Thanks. But the Dev Charts and APUG entry only list 35mm, but not the sheet film, the reason I was a bit confused.

Maybe I don't know how to read the Dev Charts correctly, but can I use the same time for 4x5 sheet film as the one listed for the 35mm?

Fomapan 100 Xtol 1+1 100 8minutes @20c

It's a good starting point, then you adjust the developing times to suit your personal shooting style.

The guidelines for 35mm are based on intermittent agitation at 1 minute intervals. If that is your agitation process with sheet film (which is possible using certain developing equipment), then it should be OK for sheet film. If you agitate differently, then you'll need to make some adjustment--i.e., continuous agitation would require less time.
