Just want to add (7 years later) for the record, I've used this developer with the Xtol times to no ill effect. It's fantastic for pushing as well. I managed to push some Kentmere 400 to 6400 and it looks beautiful. I buy it because I could never get through 5L of Xtol before it went bad.

Always nice to get confirmation as to whether one product is the same as another.

Same here: Went over to this product because of the insane package size of Kodak XTOL. Found times and results to be absolutely comparable.
One difference though: The Fomadon Excel once went dead on me, which had never happened with XTOL. Same storage conditions etc., but only a single data point, mind.
