I buy a roll of East European FOMABROM VARIANT III, with look to have special safelight specifications are :
FOMABROM VARIANT III is orthochromatic sensibilized photo paper so if you work
with it you should use safety illumination different from common black and white
photo paper. It is routinely processed at indirect safety illumination with wavelength
of 625 nm and higher, corresponding colour of safety illumination is orange or red.
As to its high sensitivity the processed material has to be exposed to such
illumination only for the time necessary for its processing. Length of exposure and a
distance of the processed material from the illumination source should be tested.

I have the options to add special filters in the Thomas Duplex, I ask specific question in this topic: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
or use LED red from SuperBrightLeds witch look to have good reputation among the darkroom users.

I will like to have some opinions from the users of this paper. What do you use as safelight?
Thanks a lot for the help.

I have not used V III but used the V 123 quite a bit. In terms of safe light l use the standard amber/orange bulb and found no problems I would blame on the safe light.

My experience with Fomabond was favorable. I am using other papers just now.

I use that paper with red LEDs, just like my other materials.

The ones from SuperBrightLeds I link in my first post? This specific one look to have good reputation among the darkroom users. My intention is to give it a try as they can send to Canada with a low ship by First Class.
Some users report bad experience with some unknow red LED.

Can you tell me the specific one? LED? glass filter? safelight like the Paterson plastic dome?
Thanks

Yes, they are Premier Safe light fixtures of orange glass filter holding a low wattage bulb. As I recall they are about the least expensive item in the darkroom. I don not remember the wattage of the bulb but it is made clear in the instructions for installing.

Youcan get safelight bulbs fro Adorama for couple dollars ech-15watt.

I ordered some red LED from SuperBrightLeds, their E27 LED Bulb, 8 LED model, and I will play with some red Rosco filters in the Thomas Duplex.
If you have some suggestions, please post.
As the paper ordered is a roll, I need some extra safelight time for the cutting.
For those who PM me about, the Fomabrom Variant III in roll will be a very nice narrow width 20 inches roll from argentix.ca , exact size 50.8cm X84m.
