Why is Phenidone not included in the replenishing formula?

What is the purpose of the Sodium Citrate?

Good catch, I have corrected the formula. The document from which I got the formula has some errors. It would be unusual for the amount of developing agent in the replenisher to be less than that in the developer.

The sodium citrate and borax form a buffer system. Citrate ion will also prevent calcium salts from forming a sludge if the formula is made with tap water.

how do you use the replenisher?
By Gerald Koch - 06:28 PM, 05-09-2006 Edit Rating: None
The document didn't say. I included the formula only for completeness. Usual rates for replenished systems are something like 1 to 1-1/2 ounces for each roll developed. The actual amount is varied based on the activity of the used developer.

I would personally use this developer as a one-shot in 1+1 dilution since it is very cheap to make considering the amount of chemicals.

Shouldn`t there be 2 grams of borax in the developer and 6 grams of borax in the replenisher rather than the other way around?

The developer and replenisher were listed on Dead Link Removed (Leszek Major, Wywolywacze konfekcjonowane). Since there seems to be continuing questions about the replenisher I have pulled it from the post. There was also a problem with the amount of bromide given in the developer which has been corrected. The amount previously listed was for the tropical version of this developer. Sorry about all this but I am not familiar with polish.

I don't think this is a Foma developer at all. It is the formula for Foton N10
There is also the variant N10T which is a tropical developer, 1.6g KBr instead of 0.4g

However Foton N10 is a PQ variant of the Final MQ developer F-43, Leszec Major has listed the Calgon twice in the F-43

Foton is a Polish photographic company, they made photo-chemistry and they manufactured film at one time. The company was split up and now operates as three separate entities the coating plant is now owned by Foma.
