Heya, I was given a first version medalist with a few problems.

The rangfinder is not working and the focal depth wheel or dial, if you will, does not spin very much. I have removed the top plates on the right side and the rangfinder works fine with it off. Something appears to be putting up too much resistance for the right side prism to rotate with the cover on.
What I cant figure out is that he gear that engages the focal length dial is easy to spin so the dial itself seems to be the issue. It unfortunately, is riveted into its housing so removing it to clean out the coil spring and grease the shaft it spins on seems like a no go without drilling out the shaft itself.

Also, the parallax adjustment is a friction inducing force against the same mechanism.

Does anyone have images of their Medalist open with fully functioning components? Anyone had this problem fixed?

The lens has some spots on the front and a little bit of fungus, so its probably not going to be a great camera but I would like to use it at least one to confirm this.
