Unless Kienzle can make you a new turret/ helicoids to fit other lenses, the 5cm and the 9.5cm are really the only choices (the Componon-S barrel is maybe a mm too fat, and the latest Rodagon is fatter still). Kienzle offer quite a pile of new components for the IIa (and dichroic heads, split-grade heads etc) but I've never got round to asking if replacement lenses are feasible on the IIa at a reasonable price (you'd likely also need new focus cams). If I did decide to replace the lenses on my IIa (and if the barrels were able to be fitted with enough clearance), I'd probably go with Apo Rodagon N's.
Why don't you just stick to only the IIc? You have the Focotar 100mm and the Focotar 60mm, both fine lenses. The only real plus the IIa would give you is the larger negative carrier. The IIc carrier is sometimes too small for negatives from certain cameras. Now and then I have to reprint a negative from a Zeiss folder, including the black border and that negative is on the large side. So, I filed out an extra IIc negative carrier . . .
If you have 135mm negatives, I would think twice about letting go the Ic, as it gives you more possibilities next to the IIc.
the elmar and 9.5cm lenses (the ones without the aperture f stops) are so bad, I almost can’t focus on the grain, they simply cannot resolve grain properly.
