Alright. I need a flash. I want one that I can stick on ye old olympus trip 35 and use old style and will work TTL with my N80.

And in terms of flash technique, if I bounce my flash off a wall, does my N80 have an internal flash meter and will it expose correctly for that? How do I meter for that on something like ye old Trip 35?

Something like an sb80 should work, check the manual.

Yes, that works with compatible strobes.

How do I meter for that on something like ye old Trip 35?

Meters like the sb80 actually have sensors built in, you set the aperture and iso on the camera and set it again on the strobe. With everything set the strobe adjusts itself nicely on non-compatible cameras.
