First try with Harmon Positive Paper

This is my first attempt using Harmon Positive Paper. Kodak 5x7 2D, exposed at EI=3, Symmar 210mm/5.6 @5.6 for 4 sec. Developed in HC110 Dilution B, no pre-flash.

Light! No negative needed with direct positive paper because it's made for pos-pos (or scene-pos).

Yes, it seems to be. It is a fiber based paper, I don't think Ilford ever did release the RC paper. Some problems in production, not sure.

I'd say it would need EI=1.5 for skin tones, very even lighting, and no snow white subjects in the picture, as it is very contrasty.

Fun factor of using something unusual.
You have to develop only once.
You don't need any copying frame.
No negative - no more prints, every single picture is unique item.
You get it mirrored (left-right swapped).

It would be interesting to reverse develop ordinary paper, but for sure someone has already tried...

This is good to know. I've previously tried Harman DPP at EI 6 and developed in Ilford Multigrade, but got an overly pinkish image that was light grey and lacked contrast.

Because variety is the spice of life.

Try preflashing it improves the speed and better contrast, also look good when selenium toned

tat's where the pre flash and/or a yello taking filter helps.

looks about rightif you like less contrast, use a diffusion filter for a pre flash and/orvery soft lightand/orhighly diluted developer and always a yellow#8 FILTER AT EI3.of course regular paperinversed through contact printing(aka paper negatives )works too.

I have two boxes of Harman DPP waiting to be loaded. The great thing (for me) is that the paper can be ordered inexpensively from Harman shop directly. Their shipping costs are modest too.

Take care of that paper! Keep it in the fridge or freezer. I loaded my last 2 sheets in a film holder last spring or summer. With family and health issues I lost track of it and just re-discovered it. Shot them both and developed in fresh developer. Even mid tone gray across both sheets........

We have no keeping issues with this paper, it is very, very stable.

according to Susanna Kraus,the paper loses density and contrast over timeslowly.but then, so does any paper.
