Hi all,
First of all, hello. I'm new here, and this is my first post.
I just shot and had developed my first roll with a Rolleiflex 2.8 E2 I got on eBay about 5 years ago ( it was CLAed by Harry Fleanor after purchase). Overall, the images look good. I used an external light meter.
I have two questions.
1) The camera has the glass accessory used to "insure" that the film is flat against the film pressure plate. Is this necessary? I was thinking about taking it off.
2) The lab pointed out some subtle bleeding edges on the negative. When viewed with a loupe you can see the sharp edge of the frame, with a slight bleeding of the image beyond that edge. Any ideas? Could that glass accessory be causing it? Does the spring tension on the film plate affect this?
Any help would be much appreciated.
BTW, camera overall is in almost mint condition, with a new Maxwell split screen, so overall it's in good shape.
