Thanks for the reply, Thomas. That clears things up. I haven't really got beyond the era when the first time you saw your negs and prints, they were in an envelope that you picked up or were sent through the post.

Thanks, I don't think it was a bad effort for just testing out the camera... I have a couple where I opened the film door which are completely fogged out! Oh dear!

No problem I was surprised at how quickly I got the shots... I was expecting a long nervous wait but I got the shots less than 24 hours after shooting!

Good to hear you have a prompt lab -- and one that returns the negatives to boot! I just had a look at your photos up on Flickr. I think you did very well. Once you get used to rangefinder focusing, I think you'll enjoy it. For street photography with that 42mm lens, you'll probably want to be shooting at f/8 or f/11 for adequate depth of field. It doesn't have a hyperfocal distance scale, so some guesswork will be involved.

The Oly 35 RC is an excellent little rangefinder camera. Love him or hate him, there's a decent review of the camera, with sample photos, at Ken Rockwell's site:
