Schneider's image circle spec is at f16, which would increase at f22. In a conversation that I had with Kerry Thalman, the convertible Symmars can be more effectively stopped down for greater coverage, versus Schneider plasmat designs that followed.

The convertible Symmars were plasmats not so different to the later Symmar S lenses. In fact Schneider offered a convertibel Symmar set for a very short time in the late 1950;s.

Schneider's image circle was given for f16 for lenses primarily designed for 6x9, and f22 for 9x12/5x4 and larger.
