Well, I've taken the plunge and am having my first show. I will have approximately 20 color prints up in my home gallery space (aka living room and bedrooms) on Sunday, Sep. 26. Many of these are from my two month spring trip this year to the Colorado Plateau. If anyone is in Tucson feel free to stop by and say Hi! Write for directions.

You're not the only person in the wrong country... It's interesting how small the world is in some regards though. All of us communicating and sharing our ideas and interests, and from almost every corner of the world.

Good luck with the show!

As a resident of the correct country and even a resident of the colorado Plateau, and a former Tucson resident. I hope it goes well.

Best wishes....nice work, too btw; if the photographs in your gallery are those that are on your site, they will be a treat to view in person.

First Show Results

Thanks to all of you who attended my home gallery show. Approximately 100 folks came to the event. I sold 5 images, with several other people trying to decide either what they wanted or which size. While it hardly allows me to quit my day job, it is probably not a bad outcome for my first show. The brief presentations on large format photography seemed to be a hit, and I was grateful for the confirming nods from Mark Sawyer, Tim Curry and Tim Pfeiffer (?) in the audience.

One surprising success was the marketing appeal of the light box I put up for viewing the differences in 35mm, medium and large format transparencies. I randomly had selected some of each for viewing. One of the purchases was from the light box and there are a couple of other people who may make a purchase from images that were on there as well.

Our informal Tucson large format group is growing. Anyone not able to make the show but would like to join our group, send me your e-mail address (dwodonb@aol.com) Thanks

Don, appreciated the invitation and the show. I was pleased to see the reception your work got and the number of people who came. Alice & Paul enjoyed the prints. Hope it generates a "few" more sales for you. Beautifil use of color and composition.
