First B&W film?

Mine was tri-x 400. One of the negs from that roll, I still rather like. I don't think it's nessicerilly that great, but it was my first B&W photo that I really liked.

Plus-X back in the mid 1970's.

I have no idea. After all, it was 40 years ago...

Verichrome Pan

Plus-X, in college. We weren't allowed to use anything else until we had mastered that one. Contact sheets were checked!

If my brain is working right (big if) my first was FP4 I think just before FP4+

Verichrome Pan -- I think -- it might have been just plain Verichrome. I'm not sure when that transition occurred, but my first few shots were probably in the late 1940s (gulp!)

Verichrome Pan - in 616 size probably.

(the camera was 22 years older than I was ).

Same here. I shot one film for a school project, then had about a fifteen year hiatus before I shot another roll of b&w film again.
I still have that roll of film, and plan on making some prints from it soon.

It was 35mm, developed in D76 stock.

FP4 (before it was FP4+).

I used to help my father out in his camera shop back in the U.K. Unfortunately I well remember selling FP3 and HP3. Time flies when you're having fun!!!

I couldn't remember what the first B&W film I used was, so I checked... It was HP5 Developed in Microphen back in February 1983 and was the 2nd 35mm film that I ran through my first 35mm SLR: a Fujica STX-1. The very first film, if your intereseted, was an Ilford colour slide film, but I can't remember what it was called.

Tri-X 400. Developed in D76. I know this for a fact, 'cos it was only about 18 months ago, and I fell in love with 'analogue' immediately.

(I'm one of those converts the other way - digital to film. If it helps, I haven't picked up a digital camera in about 12 months.)

T Max 400 in D76 1:1 developed for 12 minutes agitated 10 seconds every minute. It was 1999. I even remember the first few exposures.

Verhichrome Pan, in 616 size roll film with a little Ansco camera my mother gave me when I was 11 or 12 and wanted a camera to take pictures with.
Still have the camera, but no idea what happened to the negatives!

FP4 back in the early 70's

And seeing as I just found a 100' unopened roll in my garage that I must of bought in the mid 80's
but lost track of when I moved; I guess I can say it is my latest film too.
