First attempt with Polaroid 104

The Fuji color film is self limited, not the black and white. I've let it sit way beyond the recommended time with good results. I always turn the lighten/darken knob at least to the first lighten dot when I shoot FP100c at the 75 setting. That film loves bright sunlight.

A reasonably bright morning today, so I turned the dial to the first big 'notch' brighter, and tried a shot....and this time everything worked perfectly.

Glad to hear it! I love the quality of the prints you get from FP-100c, which makes me even more annoyed that it's been discontinued.

If it didn't come with it, one of these will get you some nice indoor shots

The bulbs you want are M3 clear bulbs. You can use blue ones, but then you'll want to flip down the blue filter on the flash, which also acts as a safety screen. That said most M3 bulbs are plastic coated anyway.
Try not to pay more than 50 cents per bulb, and if you google enough there are ways to use an electronic flash, but I like the old-timey blinding bulbs.

I do have the 268 flash and about 12 M3 bulbs. I've fried two testing the flash, and it's going to be part of my "Polaroid Christmas"

Took the camera to my mother's house yesterday and surprised her by taking a snapshot of her gardening. She thought it was fantastic and is telling all her friends how her son is using a 50 year old Polaroid camera. I strongly suspect my Christmas stocking will have some FP100c in it...

It is a real shame Fuji discontinued the film, as it does look lovely. I guess the market is too small for them...they have axed most of their B&W 35mm film too. I just hope they allow someone to buy the machines needed to make the film, and start up production again in the same way Impossible did for integral film.

Although Fuji FP-3000B was discontinued in 2013, earlier this month I was able to get two packs with an August 2017 expiration date:



As for Impossible continuing this film, Wikipedia has this:

" [Impossible] said that after Fuji discontinued FP3000b and FP100b they had periodic discussions with them and others in the industry about popular formats that are at risk. They have approached Fuji on this (regarding purchasing their machinery) and have yet to receive a solid response.[49] They have stated their preference to focus on doing a limited number of things very well, so their focus is Integral rather than peel away (although they offer a 8x10 peel away solution)."

I love the FP3000b, very cool to be able to take hand-held shots in room lighting. When I first got into the automatic land cameras I bought about 70 packs at inflated prices, finally receiving my last batch at the end of January, and was glad I wouldn't have to buy any more discontinued pack film anymore.

Of course we all know what happened 1 month later..
