Hi everyone.
I`m Jore Puusa, living in Finland.
My country is situated between Russia and Sweden.
I live in a suburb of Helsinki, the capital.
-
I used to be a photojournalist for 42 years. Shooting for AP, UPI, DPA, BlackStar, IOPP and locally for media. I taught photography, photojournalism for younger generation.
Now I´m retired...for 8 years , still missing my job.
Tried to find a forum where people write about pictures, not the gear so much. Where I live, photographers write about which is better - Cannik or Nikcan ;-)
I´m saddened how AI is killing our profession.
The picture shows how I earned my living Not allways that boring though.

Tried to find a forum where people write about pictures, not the gear so much.

That's always a challenge, for some reason. I guess it's easier to talk about gear, and forums tend to attract people who are more gear/technique-oriented to begin with. However, I feel if we have some critical mass, there is an opportunity to enrich forums in this sense. To an extent this is also the case on Photrio where there are (sometimes long and fierce) discussions about the work of renowned photographers, where gear and technique are of lesser relevance in the discussion.

This is just to say that please consider this as an invitation to strike up the kind of exchange that you have in mind!

Sigh..tried to find how to add a picture/media of mine in an album and how to wrote about others pictures I give up.
Just cannot do anything else but write here. I´m old and stupid ---could not find a support page for manual or faq.

Thanks but cannot see text input field. Tried to find one for two days.
Commenting other peoples pic..tried to read the long text, but cause my english is only my third foreign language I found it much too difficult.
So I´ll leave, thank You and have a nice spring.
BTW. Could You tell how to end ones account.
