Hello Folks, I bought some Oriental Seagull paper. It seems to be a pretty nice RC paper. Does anybody know which PC filter set I should use: Ilford or Kodak?

Thanks in advance,

Go for the Ilford, simply because Kodak don't make paper any more, but Ilford do & for other companies as well. It makes little difference I used Ilford filters for Kodak & Agfa VC papers.

Welcome to APUG BTW.

The Ilford filter grades seem to match exactly the Oriental VC grades in the table they provide. They don't give any exposure compensation for each filter, but you know the high contrast filters need it. So, its not easy to tell if they will be exposure compensated or not. Let us know.

Thanks for the responses, Folks. Being an old time darkroomer, I actually have both sets of filters. I wanted to know which was better suited to Seagull, and it appears that the Ilford filters are.

Cheers,
