filtering dilemma

so Im trying to figure out a successful way to mount filters to multiple lenses with out spending hundreds on a filter system for every camera.

I have a hasselblad and got a bayonet to 58mm adapter so I can use all the 58mm filters I have for my canon 35mm camera. so basically Im trying to find a way to mount a 58mm adapter to my oldschool 135mm Kodak 4.7 4x5 lens (came off my old crown graphic and is now being used on my cambo SC monorail)
I have the cokin square system (the bigger of the two - cant remember off hand the Letter I think X) and adapters to go to 58mm.
so basically Im just looking for a convenient way to mount a 58mm threading to my large format lens.
the lens has no threads on it so I would need some sort of manner to clamp it down onto the front element edging I would think.
I keep thinking about the way a dome light outer housing surrounds a lightbulb with three screws that hold it in place. seems like something along those lines would work well.
I also like the idea of being able to use a lee filter system and square gel filters for convenience. but even these seem to be limited to threaded mounting.

I think it must be Kodak Ektar. My guess the OD of that lens is something like 38mm.
Basically, you need a "Series VI" adapter for 38mm, and then some kind of step-up ring to 58mm. Series VII is 54mm, so you need something larger than that. One way of doing that is getting a Series VI - Series VII step up ring, and then another ring (step-up from 54mm to 58mm) - which makes it a lot of stacked adapters )))

I know, I have same problems - I have 3 lenses for my Speed Graphic, and all of them are different sizes. But, Series VI adapters combined with various step-up rings usually take care of all my problems.

Even if your Kodak lens does not have outer diameter of 38mm, there must be some "Series" adapter that will fit.

You could also check graflex.org site and its "Help forums" - search for "adapters".

My Optar has a slip on adaptor that fits over the lens and then the series filters fit inside it. I will post a picture of it when I get home. SK grimes could probably machine a slip-on adaptor for your lens so it can take your 58mm filters.

If you really wanted serious SK Grimes could probably cut you some threads in the flange so you could mount a threaded adaptor to it.
