I have an Rollei 35 S 40mm Sonnar f:2.8 Singapore . I am looking for color filters for BW and an lens hood . Is there such a thing ? Who sells them ? I want to know the prices and buy from APUG.
I think past summers heat effected camera positively , lower speeds started to work.
I've gotten a yellow and orange for my Rollei 35 S and a small hard plastic screw-on hood but only after a lot of patience. I cannot even remember where I found them exactly. Intermittently on eBay, here, RFF, etc....
I liked one hood at ebay and it was 175 dollars, others were not sexy as it is. And I dont have pay pal so I cant use ebay.
I will ask APUG to buy one hood and red filter next month.
I still have a like new Bowers polarizer in 30.5mm that I had for my 35S (that I sold a couple of years ago). I rummaged through the drawers at my local old fashion camera store that's been in the same location since 1952 (helped that I used to work there) and found Rollei filters for it. But I sold the filters with the camera. It's amazing what is still stuck away in drawers of old stores, if the store still exists. Good luck with your search.
That information was very useful , BH cuts 70 dollars for shipment and If I would be able to pay this amount , I would invest the 90mm Elmar Grey for my FED , 50 dollars plus the shipment. APUG is the best place to cut the shipping cost. That red filter and AA Orange Filter all I need and BH sample was perfect. One friend sent me an lightneter , it hasnt arrived yet and it will help a lot. After spending years without Leica -10 years - I am slowly starting again.
I think I want a hood nonflexible for match with my vietnamese 15 dollars sport shoes :and I dont know what I could find and buy next month.
Brian,
There is no fatherly, southern accent, good hearth , old men here who sells for 2 dollars. Oppositely , these peoples are wild and want your money too much.
Thank you all , great , I discovered there is a thread on lens barrel , I had had no idea how to attach a filter and the hood.
Ah, I didn't see the Istanbul part until reading your last comment. I just yesterday received the Heliopan 30.5 metal lens hood. It's nice and small, probably only about 8mm deep, threaded for a 30.5 screw in lens cap or filter at the front. I like screw in metal lens caps and the combo fits well with my 35SE.
Haven't developed any film yet, so I can't confirm that the hood doesn't vignette, but it _looks_ like it won't.
It's a metal hood, marked Heliopan Digital E 30.5. Made in Germany, so you might find a place to buy it in the EU.
