I have a Fuji GSW690iii - many people complain about the built in shade/lens hood and one of its issues is how "painful" it makes using filters. (thinking of traditional square Cokin ND filter sets which work with almost any filter thread diameter via an adapter which Cokin sells) Yes the lens has a 67mm filter thread but I already have a set of Cokin filters but you can't have the Cokin adapter attached AND change shutter speed or aperture - because the lens hood has to be extended to make adjustments.
I have designed a 3D printed square filter holder which clips on to the shade. It is currently a rudimentary design and I think I may make some upgrades in the future but I wanted to hear feedback from Fuji users out there - what do you think of this design? I use a binder clip across one corner to hold the filter in place. The "legs" clip onto the lens shade and do not obstruct its movements. These legs hold well but I added a rubber band around them to keep it VERY secure to the shade. I can then use this with square Cokin filters (the smaller 82mm square ones)
Has anyone else created an adapter like this and have advice?
