I watched your latest video before this guy found it 😁

The carbon printing is fabulous. I have a big camera (11x14) haven't been outside with it in years.

Good Job!!!

Andrew, when I looked at the date on the video, I wondered why you'd waited 6 months to tell us 😄

I wonder if he is being investigated now after he has mentioned a Canadian in a favourable light 😎

Well he's not psychic, Andrew only posted the video yesterday on 3/11/2025 :D

We use D/M/Y here in the UK, North America uses M/D/Y so you just misread the date Mike.

Sometimes I watch this guy's channel for any film news...and he mentioned me! Weird!
Congrats! I hope that lands you some more subscribers.

The host is a good guy. He worked on my K-1000 and I was satisfied with his speed and professionalism.

Thanks but it was just my little joke with Andrew, Ian. Mind you I have never seen the logic in M/D/Y It has always seemed more sensible to list the date order in terms of the time period starting wíth the shortest one

And I've always thought it most sensible to use YYYY-MM-DD. Of course, that may be because that is the easiest format for using computers to sort things in date order.

Of course, optimized for computer analysis and a photographer who does like this somehow seems to be a strange combination:

That was before I switched to a proper bellows! That thing could literally stand up on its own!

As a software engineer, I always use YYYY-MM-DD. It's part of the ISO standard for dates.

I used to contact print negatives of that size.
Of course, at the time, I was contact printing on to an offset press printing plate using a UV plate burner - does that count?

I write the month. So Nov 7 2025 or 7 Nov 2025. We had a real engineer who was our VP when I started. Masters mechanical engineering Purdue. He would always write the month. One of the best communicators I've ever met. He's in his early 80's now, he still hikes mountains. Arrogant SOB but he could back it up.

I remember using a plate burner. What a machine!

I need to re-train before I get out my 11x14, been years since I have used. Contact prints 4x5, postcard size etc can be quite stunning.

I would encourage people to watch Analogue Andy YouTube videos. Andrew condenses hours of labor down to easy to watch videos. Inspiration (I hope) to get out my big wooden cameras and make some salt or carbon prints 😎
