Is it me, or are options pretty dismal here in Canada with the big name chains, be it Shoppers/London Drugs/Rexall/PharmaPlus, Sobey/Loblaw/Zehrs/Metro, Zellers/Wal-Mart/Future City, and so on? Except for disposables, I tend to only ever find C-41 film in 200 and 400, usually Fujicolor or store brand (often Fuji). Once, I seem to remember seeing BW400CN somewhere, maybe Wal-Mart. So much for convenience of selection, eh?

generally I find that most shops stock expired "baked in the delivery truck" 800 speed kodak super-de-duper film. I basically never find 100 speed and 200 is rare. It's all 35mm anyways though.

I'm pretty sure that the Shoppers near me in Toronto has BW400CN and a surprisingly large stock of store-brand colour film. I have never, ever seen true BW film in drug stores in Canada, though.

Not to be all positive about things because it's still pretty feeble but a quick look at my local HEB grocery store here in San Antonio reveals they stock Tri-X in 24 exposure rolls, in addition to color neg film.

I've been constantly told that 120 & sheet film haven't made for years at a wide variety of stores in the last 2-3 years, in various countries. 20+ stores in Santiago, Chile, I eventually found some, all but one of the 10 or 12 stores where I live say the same, I can buy 120 but it's difficult. Izmir, the third largest Turkish city has no stores selling LF films, but I was told by one pro dealer that there are about ten or twelve photographers still using sheet film - but they all buy from the UK, Germany, or the US via the internet. I was told the same in Chile.

The internet has hit film retailers hard, son stocks drop even more.

Disposable cameras and 200iso print film stylised in the Australian flag (!), Koalas, possums etc, are available Downunder in big supermarkets, souvenir shops and post offices. Pharmacies also have print film, disposable cameras. What they don't have is tranny film!

In a common 9000 people township in the German province, this summer I could buy at at least six places not only halve a dozen types of single use cameras, but also more than dozen type 135 films: CN, CR, B&W, Fuji, Kodak, Ilford and a lot of rebranded ones, ….
However, by now two important discount chains have stopped selling film at all.

Tesco Value labels are very recognisable in the UK, and have become something of an internet meme over here, probably due to Tesco being the Biggest UK supermarket, with ambitions to be like Microsoft (But with Bog roll, Frozen Pizza and Baked beans, instead of dodgy software- though they sell that as well )
Funnily enough the biggest Tesco in Europe, isn't in the UK. Its in Veszprem in Hungary, where you can buy GALLON bottles of Unicum (Hungarian fire water that tastes of throat sweets) for very few forints indeed

My local aldi still flogs twinpacks of Kodak Gold for a suitably small sum, but I'm still stocked up with Kodak Colorplus for a quid a roll from poundland
