Film, yes; Polaroid, no.

Not the polaroid, there is a developer pad in the pack which is not a good thing for the freezer. You can put the polariod in the fridge, but not the freezer section.

If the film is in its original NEVER-OPENED plastic case (35mm) or little bag (120/200) or sealed packet (4x5) then there is no humidity inside by design, and you can freeze away with no fear of ice crystals. Once it has been opened to the air, with its ever-present humidity, then putting it back in the freezer does carry some risk of ice formation. Unless you live in a desert. Myself, I always limit myself to the refrigerator after it's been opened, and try to shoot my cold film before my frozen film for that reason.

Once I've opened the original packaging, and unavoidably let some humidity in, I won't freeze it, only refrigerate it. Which then means, if I have some of the same type of film in the fridge and some in the freezer, I try to work off the fridge stock first before grabbing any more from the freezer.

If there is some film I want to use ahead of the rest, I move it from the freezer to the refrigerator.
