Thanks for the link. Reminds me that I owe him a write-up on the plates.
The list contains Dubblefilm but is lacking Revolog.
My issue with the articles: While the number of available film products may be close to 200, the actual number of film stocks is significantly less. Take out everything from the list that is a repackaged version or "specially modified" (as in 'we scratched up this film and rolled it back up' types) and you would probably find that the number is half or less. Only 6 out of the 12 brands in the first 3 articles manufacture - the rest are repackaged something-or-other. The author and his/her collaborator have their rose colored glass on with respect to the state of film photography. Yes, we have many different emulsions or film stocks to choose from right now, but to say that they number in the hundreds, I believe is misleading.
Well, if a Fuji film is discontinued, and it cascades through a couple of dozen rebrands, it does affect overall availability.not so sure the glasses are rose colored, unless it was ortho film stock, probaby dark green.
why d'zit matter repackaged or not, they're out there, which is good.
repackaging film ( and paper ) has been done
for decades and will continue...

If I freeze my Tri-X and you don't, it's the same film.if its aged or stored/treated in a different way, it is a different film.
forte used to make j+c film as well as bregger back in the day
if you shot each of the films side by side they were different, but they
( by all accounts by people much smarter than me ) were the same emuls¡on...
and by all accounts made with love.
my take might not be the same as yours, but if it reacts to the light differently, looks differently, processes differentlythan it did when you i bought it freshIf I freeze my Tri-X and you don't, it's the same film.
It would be helpful if they also aggregated film by source, so we we could easily see how many different emulsions are out there.
....But it is not accurate. For example, Dubbelfilm is not manufactured by them, they just reanimate it with some device and roll it back up but the Verified Manufacturer field says Dubbelfilm. At the end of the film description is a line verified manufacturer.
