I finished a roll of Ektar 100 35mm and took it in to a local place to develop today. She said they no longer do it in house, but send it out and it takes about 8 days. The deal killer was that they did not send your negatives back, but give you a CD of the images. I don't shoot Ektar to get a cheap scan of the images so I brought the film home.
Now I have to decide whether to send it off to Dwayne's or NCPS for about 30% more in price. I just want to develop the film: no prints, no CD's or anything.
Anyone recommend another mail order company? Dwayne's is $ 10 for dev and return postage and NCPS is $ 13.61 with the same. I've used both companies, but I know that there quite a few more out there.

I use The Darkroom in California, they're not the cheapest but they do a great job at both developing and scanning. They are fairly quick considering it's mail order. I usually have my scans available for download from their site within a week of putting it in the mail. They do send your negatives back with a disk unless you get the largest scan. If you do get the largest scan you have to download all of them but they will still send the negatives back.
