But you have to buy 100 rolls minimum!

Not if after a couple rolls one discovers it is not a good enough film for one's purposes -- but one could always re-sell it for a buck a roll to students.

What is "Pro Max" film...?

I did buy some of the Pro-max 100 frugal was selling. The film cans were identical to Lucky SHD100, (a copy of the fuji cans but in lighter plastic) the bar code on teh cassette had all but the first and last number the same as Lucky SHD100. (and the last digit was 3 for 24 exposures, while the SHD100 I had was 4 for 36 exposures) The edge print was the same (on the number side) as Lucky SHD100, the name side of the edge print was blank. At the time Frugal did have the 400 version .

I cant swear that the film I got was actually Lucky SHD100, but I am reasonably confident that it was not a European made product.

I would agree that any of the three ASA 100 24 exposure rolls that Freestyle has on clear-out are probably a better value, even if they are about twice the price as the stuff from digitaltruth. when you can get 100 feet of major maker film in the twenty buck range...
