Well that was a good bit of fun.

My two films are, for colour, Ektar 100 neg film, which I've never used and for B/W, Ilford 3200, which I have used in the past and have a small stash of that I should get out and use.

Clever! It even works -- it suggested I'd like 400TX which is a frequent choice of mine. Of course I also think it was difficult (and they did warn about this) to ignore subject/content. Anyway, thanks, good fun!

For me it's Portra 160 (one of my most used films in 120) and Fujicolor C200 (I didn't use this for years but I will give it a try with my Konica III rangefinder).

Tried it now for b/w …

Fomapan 400 (which is a film I really like - I like the 100 and 200 Fomapan too)
and Rollei Retro 400S (never tried it so far but maybe …).

Never mind...I must have missed a button. Did it a second time...picking the same images as the first try...and, it said I'd like HP5+. Hmm, that's certainly an OK film, but not one of my favs! Just like real dating...I guess it ain't always right!!

All good fun! I came up with Portra 400 (always was a sucker for the 160/400 NC when that was available) so that hit the mark. B/W was a bit more of an adventure ... Fomapan 400. I have never used the 400, but I like the 100 in sheet form.

Gave me Tri-X. Pretty accurate as I almost always shoot HP5+ or Tri-X!

I have to say I am pretty amazed. It turned up Tmax 100 as the best film for me. This is the only film I am consistently stockpiling whenever I can find a sale on it. It also does not matter whether it is expired or not, it still produces great images.

Haven't done it in a long time and not having the darkroom any longer, I would pick Provia 100 (unless Kodak makes some Ektachrome soon).

Color Portra 400

Limited stashed discontinued films are saved for special situations. I keep discontinued films from the hoarders.

It pegged me as a Kodak TX 400 guy with a 'might-also-like' of Kentmere 400.
Hmm....mostly I shoot Ultrafine Extreme 400 so they are sort of right.
Need to splurge for some TX400

Apparently I'm a Tri-X kind of gal (no surprise there) with a maybe Kentmere 400 (which I've never tried). I did the quiz again for colour and surprisingly it gave me Fuji Pro 400H, which I think I've only shot once in my life. Since it's so available here in Japan, I suppose I should give it another go (although really, I need to go through my stash of Provia 400x first...).

I read this and all I can say is "And some of us doubted Kodak! Well it is still a step ahead of its competitors according to the survey's commentator. That seems a very bold conclusion if this survey does not represent market sales. Perhaps it reflects the commentator's warm feelings towards Kodak. A bit like Rattymouse

Ilford, a British company is perhaps an also-ran in the same way that in the 1950s any British boxer fighting in the U.S. was viewed as second-rate. It was said in those days that against a U.S. opponent a K.O. got you a draw

Only the most rabid fan boy would keep shooting Kodak TMAX 400 if they went through what I did. That's a fact.

Care to share what those problems are?

I mainly use HP5 now, and am thinking of moving to delta 400. I just want to know if your problems are a result of t-grain formulation

I got matched with AGFA APX 400. Way to rub it in. That was my first film crush, only to be taken away from me. I've been on whirlwind romances looking for my soulmate ever since... Kodak BW400CN... Fuji Neopan 400... Acros 100...

Now I'm trying to settle in with Tri-X 400 and FP4 Plus, hoping these outlast me.
