Hey all i got a great deal on an FEM Kunze MC 5000 with all test negs and accessoirs and even the manual but i still have no idea how just to start hahah :D
the manual is more like how to calibratiate but not how to just measure a neg an print :smile:
would love to chat with other MC 5000 users if there is any? as it seems tht fem kunze companyis permantly closed?

I got some meter from the predecessor firm, Wallner. But it is good to have a complete set of manuals of the Kunze products online, as seemingly the firm meanwhile got dissolved. And your one I could not find on the net.

If you are just starting out printing, I'd recommend calibrating it to a test negative you make yourself of a gray card. Then, you can spend some time getting a good print that matches the gray card and after achieving that goal, set the meter to those printing parameters. Then, include a gray card picture in the same light as your subject with your exposures.
When ready to use the device, put the negative with the gray card in the enlarger and use the device to find your filter pack, then replace that negative with the subject mater image (without touching the filtration or lens) and you should get a reasonable first print.
